Black and white and a bit of orange...

I don't like orange at all... I mean I don't like it for cards, clothes and home decoration... but still I have some orange scraps in stock. So I sort of have to use it now and than... Yesterday it was one of those days lol..
I do like how this card turned out for I combined the 'ugly' color with black and white (I do love black and white very much). How about you... are there colors you don't like?

Another scraplift...

I love Jean Martin's cards and I watch her blog every week to get some new inspiration. Today I saw this card over at her blog and wanted to scraplift it as soon as possible. This is my interpretation of the card. How fun is it to wrap up some paper like this? Give it a try yourself, the effect is fun!

Gift box...

Last weekend I made a gift box for a friends birthay. She is not really a pink-fan, but she liked the present very much...

A color explosion in my craft room...

These three items brighten up my caft room!  I think spring is on it's way...

Card Patterns Super six (102)

Jahoo!!! I was very pleased an surprised to see this message on the Card Patterns blog monday. It made my day!

Another not me-card...

Last weekend was the one of experiments... This is the result of another ink and embossing experiment.
I really like the effect.

Strange card

Last weekend I created cards with my sister. We had a lovely afternoon off Saterday to spend time together. My sister lives very close to my home, but she has a busy job, so not much time left to see each other very often. During the afternoon I made some strange cards. Why strange? Because I used colors I don't often use... This one for example is very dark when you compare it to my other work... But I do like the card, so no worries lol... (I don't think you can see the purple I used very well, sorry, not my best pictures ever)

Scrapbook mania & more...

Ingrid Danvers blog is one of my favorites. I really like her style. For this card I scrap lifted this card of her:

Happy paper...

Last week I created this card using very happy paper. I still like to work with butterflies, pink and swirls. Not very original... I hope I can show you some other cards during the week that are different...

Happy Sunday!

Get sketchy # 74

By mistake I used sketch # 74 instead of # 75, but this is another card I made this week:

The colours I used are not really my style, but I like how this card turned out.

Card patterns 102

Good morning. It's been a few days since I posted a blog. Busy at work... Today I want to share the card I created using Card patterns sketch 102. For the card I used some old scraps again. I got so much of them left... don't want to use fresh new papers before the old ones are gone... This is what I came up with: I will have a long weekend. Hopefully with lots of time to create. Have a nice day!

Something old... (3)

Again some old cards... busy making new ones...

Something old... (2)

Yes, I would like to show some old cards again that I really like. I think I made this card in 2009. I have to make this card again, because I love the design...

Love is still in the air... (Scrap lift)

When I saw this pretty card over at Lindsay Amrhein's blog I knew I had to make a card like that. I love the design. Simple but very nice don't you think? So I tried and this is what I came up with:

Love is in the air...

Valentine's Day is on the way... I can see that when I'm blog hopping. I do love flowers pink and hearts, but I didn't know I had so much fun paper to make cards with. This card I made a few days ago.

Something old...

Today I have been cleaning up my craft room. I found some old cards made a year ago or something. But I still like this one very much. Today is a very beautiful day here in Holland, and this card reminds me of spring and summer... can't wait for spring to begin!

Card patterns sketch 101

Today was one of those days... I had plenty of time to create new things, I had plenty of ideas in mind, but I only made one card. And I even don't like this one, 'cause it's nothing like I had in mind for the 101th sketch from Card Patterns. Maybe I will try again later this week. This is my card:

Have a happy Tuesday...

Another 90-card...

As promised I will show you the other 90 card  I made last week. As you can see this one is very different. I was surprised I can do that, because over the years I develloped my own style... This is the result. Hope the person who gets these cards for her birthday likes them both...

Happy 90th birthday...

This week a friend of my family celebrates her 90th birthday. I think that's worth a pretty card, dont you? My aunt also wanted to send her a special card. For there are not much 90-cards in the shop over here, she asked my to create a handmade one. So I had to make two cards for her. I really want that to be two very different ones. This is the fist one...
Tomorrow I will show the other card.

Low Budget Cards... part 3

Today I will show you my favorite card made with the cheap paper pads bought at ACTION. I really love this colour combination. Hopefully I can find some inspiration to do more with this paper pads, because I have lots of paper left. Have a nice sunday!

Low Budget Cards... part 2

Today another card made with really cheap paper. I like how this one turned out for I don't often use vintage paper. The design is very simple, but that's how I like it...

Low Budget Cards... part 1

In the Netherlands we have a cheap store called ACTION. They sell almost everything over there. I hop in almost every week to see what's new. Luckily they sell craft suplies as well. It's not always the best of the best, but creating something nice out of it is like a challenge for me. The next three days I'd like to show some cards created with the vintage paper pads I bought at ACTION last week for only € 0,79! Can you believe it? Today part one...

Scrap lift...

When I see a nice card, I often save it on my computer... over the year I have saved about over a hundred ideas. I like to just watch them sometimes, to get inspired. This card by Laurie Willson is one of those cards I wanted to lift.

This is my version of the card:
